Nov 28...Happy Thanksgiving!!!

Well, I've missed a few more days, but today I wanted to make sure I didn't forget a few things...

Happy Thanksgiving, everyone! I hope you've all had a WONDERFUL day full of loved ones and great food! Once I got off work I came home to a much better kitty and now we are just relaxing on the couch! So very thankful she is almost back to herself!

A couple more things I'm thankful for today...and always...the knowledge that some of you, while we don't often see each other, have meant so much to me over the years and have welcomed me into your families and homes to spend Thanksgiving with you, as I haven't been "home" for this particular holiday in more years than I can, or care to, remember! I'm very blessed with such amazing friends and wish you all the best for a very Happy Thanksgiving this year, too! I'm also thankful for those of you at work who helped make today a little better! Missed seeing some of you, but hope you all had a good day, too!

Howdy everyone!!!

Yep - I've done it again! It's been ages since my last update. I've been working at Rudy's for nearly 3 months now and it certainly keeps me busy. I enjoy it, but don't feel like I get much time off anymore. So much for being retired! lol I've been off the last 2 days (had to call in sick on Sat!) due to my allergies acting up pretty bad - the worst I think they've ever been, actually. Sure hasn't been much fun. Hopefully it will let up soon, as I already spent Sat and one day off in bed and hate to think tomorrow will be more of the same! So, say a little prayer that things get much better tonight while I'm sleeping! :-)

Well, I'm off now to try to finish up my taxes if I can stay awake long enough to do so! Yes, I know, I always wait until the last minute for them...not sure why since I always get money back. Insane - I know!

Where does the time go???

I have lost track of it yet again! It's been months since I've written . . . and another new chapter is about to begin. I've decided it's been nice to relax and enjoy retirement, but I miss being part of a team so I'm going back into the workforce! I'll start with with my orientation next Monday and will soon thereafter begin working as a cashier at Rudy's BBQ! I love the food and the atmosphere there, so I think it will be fun! I wanted to do something different and get out of the house and back around people again, so here goes nothing! Wish me luck and be sure to stop in for some GREAT BBQ if you're down this way! I might be a bit biased, but personally, I think it's the best around! : -)
