Nov 29, 2018 - I'm thankful for always making new connections and the new possibilities that come from them!

Nov 30 2018 - I'm thankful for the AMAZING friends that the Army has given me that are still a part of my life and and are crazy enough to run 1/2 marathon's with me! Not to mention, we decided that this time we should do a 5k the day before so we get a third medal for the remix challenge! Pray for us!!!

Nov 27, 2018 - I'm thankful for a very timely message I received earlier today and just saw a moment ago. Honestly, I'd had a couple of not so great moments over the last couple of days and wasn't really feeling like posting tonight. However, as I was getting ready to go to bed I noticed a few messages that I hadn't read today. One was from a friend who just wanted to say thanks because my thankful posts had reminded him to pause and be thankful. Just knowing that at least one other person has been affected and been more mindful of being thankful makes it all a little better!!! Sometimes we all need a little reminder...and I'm thankful that message today was mine!!!

Nov 28, 2018 - I'm thankful for people with good values and morals. In a world where it seems that many have lost them, or never really had them instilled in them growing up, it's nice to see that they do still exist. I know I'm not always the best example to follow, as none of us are, (thankfully we have God to always look up to for that) but it's so sad to see some of what happens around us at every turn now. I am blessed to have some amazing examples to follow and look up to around me and continue to strive to be more like. However, I always know that the finest example of values and morals is He who provides that example for all of us!

Well, I've missed posting for a few days, so it's time to get caught up...

Nov 22, 2018 - I'm thankful for the friends and family near and far who always reach out somehow - a text or call or message - to let me know they are thinking of me at the holidays. It's nice to hear from you all and it brings a smile to my face and warms my heart!

Nov 23, 2018 - I'm thankful for the soft, fuzzy, warm blankets and socks that I have that I get to curl up with when I don't feel the best. It makes it even better when I lay on the couch and watch Christmas movies.

Nov 24, 2018 - I'm thankful for the decorations and traditions that we see each year as the holidays approach to see how everyone celebrates. It's always so pretty and festive!

Nov 25, 2018 - I'm thankful for my little Americana Christmas tree that sits on my front table to always remind me of what freedom truly means to me!

Nov 21, 2018 - I'm thankful for friends who reach out and check on me when they know I haven't been feeling well. It's nice to know that people care and just want to make sure that I'm ok and don't need anything. I'm very blessed with amazing friends that God has placed in my life!

Nov 20, 2018 - I'm thankful for all of our AMAZING police officers who put their lives on the line for us every single day. They walk out their door each time they head to their shift not knowing if it might be the last time they do so, yet they still go and do what they have been called to do. May God continue to always bless and watch over them all each and every day and protect them as they go about their way protecting and taking care of all of us.

Today, in particular, I'm thinking of our SAPD officers, and specifically, I'm remembering Detective Benjamin Marconi, who was killed two years ago this morning. It doesn't seem possible that two years have passed since he was taken from us. May God continue to provide comfort to all of those left behind and help us to know that Ben is in a much better place and we will all be reunited again one day.

Nov 19, 2018 - I'm thankful for the memories that I have recorded over the years in the scrapbooks I have made. As I have been creating more recently, I have been going back into the ones I've done before and have enjoyed reliving the times from before and going back to different moments and events and it's as if I'm right back there again. The time spent creating them is so therapeutic and fun, but the time spent looking at them over and over again is, too. They are some of my most treasured possessions and I will always treasure them and the memories they represent!

Nov 18, 2018 - I'm thankful for medication, as much as I hate taking it, sometimes it's necessary! My allergies have really been horrible lately and I've been miserable, so the doc gave me more meds to take to help get them under control. Sure hoping it happens soon because I'm going crazy! If nothing else, at least they help me sleep! They even help me fall asleep before making my posts, which is why here's another late one! lol

Nov 17, 2018 - I'm thankful for time spent with friends! This is something that I need to do much more of and make more of a priority, but today was a great day hanging out with a friend and being creative! I'm so glad that I've finally started getting some of my scrapbooking done again and it's always so much more fun to do it with a friend who enjoys creating, too, than it is creating alone.

Nov 16, 2018 - I'm thankful for beautiful weather that allows me to let Bella run around in the back yard and play. She did so good today and listened to me pretty quickly when she started barking when people went by instead of just going crazy for a long time and barking like a wild and mean dog. I love when I can take her out and play with her and the just let her stay out and run around a while and not have to immediately bring her inside because she can't behave properly. We still have a long way to go and she still does that sometimes, but today was a good day!

Nov 15, 2018 - I'm thankful for the Majestic Theatre and the opportunity to work there. It is such a BEAUTIFUL place and I'm always happy to see and hear the reactions of our patrons who come in for the first time and are so blown away by the facility! I'm equally thrilled to hear of those who have been going there since they were kids going to watch a "motion picture show" and still love to come in today! As I was operating the elevator tonight, I got to see all of those reactions and talk with those patrons a bit. They're always in awe with that elevator! I just love the Majestic! It's such a fantastic part of San Antonio and delights and amazes people of all ages and backgrounds. We are truly blessed to have such an incredible piece of history here to enjoy!

Didn't feel like posting last night when I got home...darn allergies and kickin'!!! lol So, here is yesterday's entry.

30 Days of Thanksgiving

Nov 14, 2018 - Today I am thankful for my beautiful girls, Bella and Sasha, who are my reason for getting out of bed some days...literally! lol  I am so blessed to have been chosen as their mommy and to have been able to "rescue" them both, but I'm really the one who was rescued, I think. They keep me on my toes and show so much unconditional love! We humans could learn so very much from our 4 legged fur babies, if we just would! As I sit here writing this and getting ready for bed, I'm listening to Bella softly snore while she's all curled up in her bed. As soon as I'm done, I'll take her out for one last trip in the cold and then come in and tell her it's time for night-night and she'll head to her crate, while making sure I'm following behind to tuck her in...such a goofy girl she is! Such a blessed mommy I am!!!

Nov 13, 2018 - I'm thankful for the ability to continue to serve and protect people by assisting them with access to their constitutional rights and ensuring that they've got the best of the best helping them with identity theft issues that happen every single day! I feel as  though it's my way of serving, just in a different capacity, as I've done for my entire adult life. I'm honored that so many of you trust me with helping you to truly gain access to those rights! I'm blessed to be a part of such an amazing company and surrounded by incredible business partners on this journey! May God continue to bless us all!

Nov 12, 2018 - I'm thankful for all of our first responders, police and fire men/women who are protecting and serving our communities. This must truly be a calling, as they always put our communities above everything else, while their family rarely gets to see them. The many SAPD Officers and SAFD firefighters I know are some of the best I've ever met. Thank you ALL, and God Bless y'all!!! 💙👮‍♂️👮‍♀️💙❤👩‍🚒👨‍🚒❤❤

30 Days of Thanksgiving - Happy Veteran's Day

Nov 11, 2018 - I'm thankful for our amazing country and the freedoms we have as Americans. Fortunately for all of us, we have an AMAZING military that protects and defends our nation and our way of life. I am blessed to have served and will forever treasure that opportunity and time I had as a Soldier! So, I'm going to share what I wrote earlier today, once again...

I know we will never all agree on politics and that's ok, because it's part of what makes our country great and we have the right to have our own opinions. However, there is something that we should all ALWAYS AGREE on and that's in supporting our troops! They don't make the decisions. They simply follow the orders they are given and execute those orders, often times without having the ability or opportunity to be a part of the decision making process. I know that I, for one, will ALWAYS support and honor them every single day, as I know what it's like to be one of them. Thank you to all of my brothers and sisters in arms who stood up, took the oath and fulfilled the obligation they made to our country and our citizens by serving in the world best military force! Happy Veterans Day to you all!!! God Bless AMERICA and GOD BLESS OUR TROOPS!!! #WhyIStand

30 Days of Thanksgiving

Nov 10, 2018 - I'm thankful for all of the blessings in my life, but with the colder temps we've been having and seeing the people who aren't as blessed, it has really brought into perspective how we can take the little things for granted. A roof over my head, warm clothes to wear, food to eat, a car to drive, a job to go to...so many things that we don't always realize how blessed we are and I'm guilty of it, too. Thank you God for the many blessings you've given me!

Nov 9, 2018 - I'm thankful for people who understand punctuality and arrive for work, meetings, events, etc. on time. In my mind, it is a lack of respect for so many others when that is not the case. I realize there are times that "life happens" and it's unavoidable, but it shouldn't be the norm or expected for people. Sadly, it is for many. I'm so very happy and thankful for those who are blessed with an understanding of time and respect for all of those around them.

Nov 8, 2018 - I am thankful for so many AMAZING friends who are so giving and caring! I'm blessed beyond measure with you all!!! I'm truly enjoying being in a DIY Holiday Get Together here on FB with some incredibly talented and generous ladies. I'm learning soooo much and can't wait to make some of these AWESOME homemade gifts!!!

Nov 7, 2018 - I am thankful for technology that allows me to learn online without always having to be present in a certain location. Today I've been able to learn from folks in Miami, FL - Bowie, MD - Utah and CA and most likely a few other places without having to be in numerous places all at once. I did it all from the comfort of my home! While it has it's frustrating aspects, technology is the only way I could have had the day I did!

Nov 6, 2018 - I'm thankful for Peppermint essential oil (and many more oils) and it's many uses, but mainly that it helps with headaches for me! I'm blessed to be able to do what I need to do since I work for myself out of my home, but I don't like it when I have to miss an event that I was planning to attend. I'm thankful, though, that I have the ability to take care of myself!

Nov 1, 2018 - I am thankful for an AWESOME God, one who accepts me as I am and loves me with all my flaws...one who is ALWAYS there for me when I need Him and who never lets me down. I'm so blessed to have my faith and know that I'm never alone and He is always watching over me!
